Description
8×10 Acrylic on Canvas Plein Air painting (done on-site)
This little painting is a little slice of the Ann Arbor Art Fair.
Painted as part of Paint the Town in July 2024 in Ann Arbor, I set up down Liberty for a view of a patio and Main Street. Bake House 46 was across the street and one of their people came out to give me mini muffins and donuts. It was a great time and I’ll be back!
But what I like the most about this one is how it captures the vibe of downtown Ann Arbor on a hot summer day after the sun has started to recede a little. That time of the evening where everyone comes out to seize the couple bonus hours of summer breeze before sunset.
This is for the collector who wants a little piece of summer in their gallery. Someone who has lived and loved in A2 and walked the streets in all five seasons: Winter, Spring, Art Fair, Summer and Fall. “Liberty and Main” is a love poem about eating dinner on the patio and taking a stroll around the neighborhoods.
This painting comes ready-to-hang and fully wired with the frame shown
