About the Artist

My name is Brian Fritz and I help nature lovers fill their spaces with colorful and meaningful artwork so they can feel inspiration in their homes every day.

I am driven by a deep love of nature, storytelling, color, symbolism, and the emotional impact that art can have on people’s lives. Birds, wildlife, landscapes, and the natural world serve as both my artistic inspiration and philosophical guide.

For me, art is not decoration, it is a language.

It is how I process life, grief, joy, anxiety, healing, and meaning. My work is rooted in observation of the natural world and the belief that beauty and reflection should be part of everyday life. That means that everyone deserves to be surrounded by beautiful things. Including you.

Why All the Birds?

My journey as an artist began long before I ever considered turning art into a business

As a child, my mother painted murals on my bedroom walls. That early exposure gave me permission to see art as part of everyday life. Nobody ever told me that I wasn’t an artist, so I never stopped creating.

After college, I moved away from Michigan and found myself in an unhealthy relationship that left me isolated from my community and support system. During this period, I returned to visual art as a way to process life.

I began painting one bird every day.

Each bird became proof that I could move forward one step at a time. Those small daily acts of creativity helped me rebuild my sense of direction and identity. Those birds helped me fly away.

Birds became my gateway into nature, symbolism, and emotional storytelling. They became central to how I rebuilt my community and how I relate to other people.

Later, I experienced a profound personal loss when my wife and I lost our daughter Violet to stillbirth.

That grief became woven into my art and my understanding of how creative expression can carry pain, healing, and hope at the same time. The birds became that much more important.

My art is not theoretical, it comes from very real lived experience.

Every piece carries layers of story, symbolism, and meaning, inviting you to bring your own interpretations and emotional experiences into the work.

I’m here to make art less intimidating

I believe that art belongs in your home and I want to make it easier for you to bring it home. Galleries can be a little scary and feel expensive. Art fairs are overwhelming and overheated and not curated for your home.

That’s why I offer an in-home art consultation service called Build Your Nest. It’s meant to simplify the process of finding and hanging the perfect artwork in your home. Decorating your home to reflect who you are can be a quest, but it doesn’t have to be difficult!

I have a three-step process ending with an in-home visit to see which paintings work on your walls as well as framing options.

Finding local art for your home should be fun! Let me help.
