Hey, you found the secret chickadees! These are unique, one-of-a-kind experimental prints using the blocks from regular prints to do cool, weird stuff. Chickadees are 8×10 prints on thin mulberry or thin regular printmaking paper with either safewash or traditional relief ink. Lots of variables. They’re all experiments! SPRING MIX The spring mix chickadees happened when I was printing up a spring set of chickadees in yellow and another after that in green. Usually, I would clean up the inking plate and the roller and the block and all that, but the colors were so similar that I decided to let them transition on the roller and the results were a very cool tye-dye sort of effect. Given the colors and the context, I’m calling this variation “Spring Mix.” By ordering, you’re buying the nearest one I can find when you order it, just to add another little element of surprise to the mix.
